Originally the ladies of Sweet Silver were part of a larger ensemble, No Nuts, which was disbanded in summer ‘15. For a small concert with the Old Iezer Jazz Band back in 2009, a trio was formed for the occasion. This turned out to be a smashing success, resulting in a long-lasting collaboration between both groups. They have worked together for 5 years, performing Dixieland songs and many Andrews Sisters hits. Nowadays however Sweet Silver focusses more on their own sound, and they have extended their repertoire with modern songs as well as keeping their initial jazz classics.

Most recently Sweet Silver started working with the Blue River Jazz Band, and the three ladies will be joining them on a tour around Europe for several performances together. Germany, England, Belgium and Sweden will be visited, France has yet to be confirmed.
